Luke is an experienced builder of teams, products, and market making businesses. In his 20s, he founded two investor research companies, building out global research platforms in partnership with teams that now lead and develop those businesses beyond his imagination.

Some of the institutions that have nurtured and constrained Luke in equal measure include the London School of Economics, policy think tank DEMOS, and the Goldman Sachs SME alumni scheme. At Fable, Luke’s role is to challenge – challenge the market, the team, and our data.

“Away from Fable, I am an adviser to Government departments and also a school governor. I am a terrible but enthusiastic and passionate piano player, and I love spending holidays surfing with my children”.  

Suraj graduated with a BA in Mathematics and Computer Science from Oriel College, Oxford. Suraj has an extensive career in finance with a primary focus on corporate and government debt markets. He started his career as a structured credit trader for KBC Financial Products before becoming a portfolio manager at Observatory Capital and then CQS, where he set up the non-Asian emerging markets credit business.

Suraj is Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer at Fable Data. He works with his team to build new partnerships and long term client relationships based on finding the right data solutions for each client’s needs. Suraj’s team is responsible for looking after Fable’s growing base of international investor and corporate clients, ensuring that Fable continues to offer unique propositions, tailored to enable profitable client outcomes. Suraj also leads the Data Partnerships division, responsible for sourcing all of the banking data that powers Fable and maintaining long term relationships with our Data Partners.

I have a healthy appetite for good food and ensure that I maintain my daily routine which involves functional fitness to stay on top of life.  I am also a big fan of mythology from all over the world.”

Paul is an Investor at Octopus Ventures investing across a range of B2B technology and software companies.

He is a CFA Charterholder and has been investing in and working with SMEs / scale-up stage businesses for over 13 years. Prior to joining Octopus Ventures, he worked for the Royal Bank Of Scotland in their Leveraged Finance team. Paul is NED of several B2B companies operating across Europe, advising them on how to scale and grow with institutional investment support.

Non-Executive Director

A chartered accountant/ corporate finance adviser prior to over 20 years at the global private asset growth investor Bridgepoint, leading their consumer investment team, living & taking on a series of Board roles across a range of geographies in Europe and the US.

Now the Chair/ Investor/ NED of several scale-ups in the consumer,  data & teach sectors, including Fable. Jason is also a NED of the Scottish National Investment Bank and a trustee of the Entrepreneurial Scotland Foundation.
